>> Dr McDonagh takes on Clinical Lead role for Adolescent Health at BCH (2010-08-07 10:30:37) |
|
Dr McDonagh has recently been appointed the Clinical Lead for Adolescent Health at BCH and will be spending 2 days a week developing a strategy for adolescent health for the whole hospital over the next year. She will hopefully take up the post this autumn - but will continue to do the adolescent clinic!
She was interviewed for the post by the recently established YPAG - Young Person's Advisory Panel at the hospital - and it was certainly one of the most challenging interviews Janet has ever had in her career!
From now on, Dr McD will be particularly interested to hear from any young person at BCH about their experience at the hospital. Any suggestions as to how we can improve services for young people are particularly welcome.
So please, get in touch with all your comments!

August 2010
Services for young people have been hit hard by recent public sector cuts in the UK and, as a result, many invaluable youth projects and initiatives face uncertain futures. “
Children and Young People Now” (www.cypnow.co.uk) is calling for support to back the “For Youth’s Sake” campaign and asking for signatures on their online pledge and by raising awareness of young people's services in their own communities. The For Youth's Sake campaign will champion the role young people's services play and encourage decision-makers and communities to support youth projects.
